Welcome To Studio Bliss Floorcloths!
My floorcloth designs have arrived from Floorcloths.com!
When I was in my thirties, I wanted to make a special birthday gift for a good friend. I went to visit him at his house so I could secretly look around and get some ideas. He had a nice screened-in back porch with a dining table and the space was devoid of color. I ended up cutting a big piece of canvas and making a colorful canvas rug to go under his back porch dining table. I had no idea, really, what I was doing. I didn’t even know there were, in fact, canvas rugs known as floorcloths which had been around a long time. I created a vibrant floral design, but lacked the expertise to keep the edges flat and to seal it properly. Nonetheless, his many friends, whom he entertained frequently, started to inquire and wanted one, too. The rest is history.
In 1997, with the beginning boom in the world wide web, I bought the domain Floorcloths.com. It sat effortlessly with little competition on the front page of Google for 15 straight years, and I enjoyed a nice income. The site then took a hard hit in 2012 with Google’s endless rounds of algorithm updates. It took almost two years to recover the site, but alas, the site is alive and well now and back on page one. I have watched the competition grow over the years, but I remain happy to see floorcloth enthusiasm spread.
I have absolutely loved designing and painting these rugs for customers as well as painting them for use in my own home. But I can sense the time may be coming soon when I must move on to other things I love to do. I have been painting floorcloths for thirty years now! I cannot promise once the floorcloths land here how much longer I will continue to offer them so, you might want to get one soon. You will not regret it!
Why buy a floorcloth?
Because they are:
• Versatile
• Durable
• Practical
• Water and stain resistant
• Hypoallergenic
• Non-toxic
• Easy care
• Without cleaning costs
• Insect resistant
• Sustainable
• Decorative
• Floor art
• Custom designed
• Eco-friendly
• Transitional
And I am sure there are more reasons I have not thought of as yet.
Floorcloths are simply a great home product that will wear with ease for years to come, and withstand a constant onslaught of muddy boots and paws.
Annie,

Richard and JoAnna
