Watercolor, 14″x20″

Joseph was my father-in-law when I was married. He contracted polio after the war, and spent the rest of his life confined to a wheelchair. But that did not stop him one bit from becoming a most incredible gardener. He had the most colorful backyard in springtime that I had ever seen. So I had to paint Joseph’s birdbath surrounded by all his glorious colors.
