We had one long row of lavender planted in the farm garden. Every summer, when the lavender was at its peak of color and scent, hundreds of white butterflies would descend to drink its fragrance. The sweet smell of this lavender row would spill across the whole garden, and entice you into a calm and restful demeanor.
