Aqua oil on canvas, 36″x48″

I had a friend once who made tiles. He was experimenting with digital photos of his tiles by enlarging them, then zooming in on different sections where these very cool patterns were showing up. Then he would crop a section he found interesting, and tweak it in photoshop until he had created a whole new piece of digital art from which he made prints. He gave me one of these prints, and I decided to do a painting from it. And trance dance is what resulted. I recently gave this painting to my amazing, dancer girlfriend so only prints are available.
