The Last Cosmos

Acrylic on paper, 12″x16″

I always found myself a little sad when the frost was imminent, and I would go into the garden to cut the last flowers before they were snuffed out completely by the cold. The cosmos flowers would hold the longest so it was usually the last cosmos that would signal the end of the summer flower garden.

Unframed.
