Come late September in New Mexico, the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountains above Santa Fe begin to light up with the autumn shades of gold, yellow and orange. Everyone flocks to the fire on the mountain to hike in the colorful aspen trees, and to catch a glimpse of the aspen vista from the top of the mountains. It is truly magical. I had to capture the deep, blue purple color of the rain clouds against those golden trees.
