The famous Hatch chiles are grown down in southern New Mexico. It’s a colorful place to visit in the fall when all the fields are bright with the greens and reds of soon to be harvested chiles. It’s really beautiful to look out across all the vibrant Hatch chile fields with the cottonwoods starting to turn golden yellow, and a backdrop of the coral hills dotted with Juniper and the purple mountains in the distance. A distant rain shower tops it off.
