Green Apples, Blue Kitchen
Acrylic on paper, 14″x20″
Once I had a house where I painted all the rooms a different color, and being a faux painter, a different finish in some. When you walked into the house, you came into a lemon yellow, color washed living room, that led into a periwinkle kitchen, that led into a coral, ragged dining room and out the other door, down a lime green, striped hallway to a pale blue, glazed bedroom. When the time came to sell it, the realtors all told me I must paint the walls a neutral color if I wanted it to sell. I had an offer on it before they even listed it. My green apples, blue kitchen sold just fine.
