New Moon Fireflies

One of the most wonderful spectacles of Appalachian summer evenings are the fireflies. This was a scene one summer night off my back porch when the fireflies came out by the thousands to light up the field. It was especially beautiful under the new moon, thus the painting was called new moon fireflies. Everyone loves this magical, beautiful painting!
