Watercolor, 8″x10″

This is one of my earliest watercolor works. I was still in art school when I did this painting. The exercise was to completely wet the paper, and paint as quickly as possible. I just started putting the colors on, then added the tree. My teacher just loved it, and said my purple tree was a sign of my freedom with color. I did more purple trees after that.
