Rainy Day Tulips

Acrylic on paper, 18″x24″

Unframed.

When I lived in Virginia, I planted hundreds of tulips. My excitement every spring was akin to a little girl on Christmas morning. The first round of excitement came the day the tulips popped their heads out of the ground, followed by the second round with the first bloom. I had to buy more vases every spring to accommodate the cut tulips all around the house. Rainy day tulips were my favorite. They were the perfect recipe to brighten up a dreary, gray day.
