The Leopard Dream

Acrylic on canvas, 30’x40″

I have rarely painted a vision spawned from a vivid dream. There was so much power in this one I had to go for it. I was living with these five leopards, and I could communicate with them. Everywhere I went, they followed me. It was great as I felt so protected and safe. I am sure a Jungian analyst would have a field day with the leopard dream, but I kept it simple. Something inside me needed to feel safe. I consider this painting the first in my Tribute to Venus series, even though it was done five years earlier. The first painting in that series was from a real experience I had being surrounded by five coyotes. Hmmmm….there is a definite connection here.

Framed in brown wood.
