Sacred Union

Aqua oil on canvas, 30″x40″

I was inspired to paint this after I wrote a book called Shells From The Mountain. And the book was inspired by a collection of sea shells, and my life living on a secluded mountain with a man I loved. I wanted a sacred union with him. I wanted us to inspire one another to grow, to have the courage to work through the deepest, darkest shadows if they threatened our love. He didn’t want to go there. He had his own way of doing things. He gave up on me. I feel sorry for him because he gave up on someone who never would have given up on him.
