Tuscan Black-eyed Susans

Acrylic on paper, 18″x24″

I had a lovely, old, stone farm house once that I filled with color washed walls. The kitchen walls were almost two feet thick, and I washed them in an apricot color then stained the doors and window sills in a Tuscan green. I went for a walk one afternoon, and came across a field full of black-eyed susans. I had to have some for the kitchen. When I filled a pitcher full of them and placed it on the kitchen table, I was transported straight to Italy with my Tuscan black-eyed susans.

Framed in gold wood.
