Life in the Southwest is colorful, both inside and outside the home. I was already really into color before I moved there, but it went to a new level in the high desert. I painted furniture, found old blankets, rugs and remnants of textured fabric for pillows. When the afternoon light poured into the living room, well, it was a painting.
