I am looking at this painting right now. It sits on the wall to the right of my desk. I remember the day I sketched this scene while out walking. It was a chilly, fall day. I had been walking down this road you see in the painting before turning into the field. I was accompanied by two labrador dogs, an old one eyed cat, two tabby cats and a goat. The UPS man came down the road, slowed way down and stopped. He said he had never in all his years driving these back roads had seen such a sight as me walking down the road with all these animals. It made his day. I miss my walks in an autumn field.
