Afternoon Grazing

Acrylic on paper, 9″x12″

I had a painter friend in Taos who lived in a beautiful valley with lots of horses. I used to go visit him from time to time, we would sit in his studio and talk art and painting and life, then we would go riding. When we didn’t ride, I would walk the fields and sketch all the landscape with the horses content in their afternoon grazing. It was always a special time to be with the horses and my good painter friend.
