Crows in the Orange Tree
Aqua oil on canvas, 30″x30″
Autumn in Virginia brings out the deep, rich shades in the earth while the trees blaze in vibrant colors. On an afternoon walk, I came upon a brilliant orange tree where the crows were flocking. I sat under the tree, and within minutes the tree was full of what seemed like hundreds of crows. I painted the crows in the orange tree, but I didn’t paint it full of crows because I wanted to capture the brilliance of the orange color.
Unframed.
