Spring Grazing

Aqua oil on canvas, 36″x48″

The deer come out in droves in spring to graze on all the new, fresh grass. On many spring mornings, I would see them gathered under a big oak tree in the field out my kitchen window. After a long graze, they would often play which I had never witnessed before among deer. Their play was sometimes followed by naps under the tree. It became a morning ritual to watch the spring grazing of the deer.

Unframed.
