Aqua oil on canvas, 30″x40″

This is a rather intense painting, but I felt compelled to do it. It is my female version of the crucified Christ. Christ embraced all women, and as such, when they crucified him, they crucified the pearl of great price, the divine feminine. For centuries women were seen as inferior, and not welcome into the realms where men ruled. Many women have been sacrificed and persecuted for their innate female gifts. It is quite clear today of the imbalance this has created in the world.
